You should slow down, pay more attention to what is left behind and use hindsight to help you do this. These things can be gathered together to create a new perspective that will take you further back into the past.
Memories and dreams long forgotten can build upon one another. You can linger as long as it suits you, but you will eventually have to return to the present.
